Hello and welcome back to Real Estate News You Can Use. This month we've been talking about preparing your home for sale and specifically today, we're going to talk about what repairs you're going to want to do after you have your pre-home inspection done.
Some repairs are going to be larger and some are going to be smaller and some are going to be more valuable to the sale than other repairs. You'll want to sit down with your real estate agent and go over where you're going to get the biggest bang for your buck. If you need repairs to the major systems, those are really important and if it's an expensive repair.
You're going to want to take care of things like that when you have the ability to choose your own vendor and do it on your own time frame. For example, if they find mold in your crawl space that's definitely a more expensive repair and you're going to want to shop that around and get the great repair for a great price rather than wait until your buyer discovers that mold and then insists that you use a vendor that they like, you know and it could be what we might call the gold-plated repair.
Sit down with your agent and
focus on the things that are important to the sale typically that would be
things related to the kitchen things related to the master bath and things
related to the major systems of the home.
